In your opinions does a rough day 3 to 5 or a calm day better
for fishing?

Oh and by the way. That stuff that I ordered didn't come. I called them and it hasn't even been shipped yet.
Chris from 24/7 is going to bring us the hooks and other terminal tackle that we need but no squidnation stuff(the order was not placed directly with Squidnation)
We may have to come up with something else to put on the dredge and I will try to find some chuggers around here this afternoon.

I have 20 so we can make the smaller one
For most all of types of fishing I like it a bit of ripple on the water instead of flat glassy calm. For dink fishing whites and sails, 3 to 5 feet out of MHC/AB this time of year usually means a decent SW. You would be running no more than 6 knots but pay better attention to your RPM. That being said, the that type of wind at that speed will make everything tend to run to one side and not give quite as much of a realistic swim to your unweighted nekkids. Add a few more chin weight or split bill baits to the spread to compensate and it will help keep them just under the surface. That will make your spread a bit tougher to see, so you might want to fish everything a little tighter to the boat than normal.
