White Marlin Hatteras and Oregon Inlet

Fishing yesterday out of pirates cove was slow...started at the 850 with high expectations after solid fishing reports that friday and saturday. We had heard that it had been a later bite with the full moon and that's when we got our 3 whacks and that was it. I think the wind turning SW might have had something to do with it? I believe 6 whites were caught yesterday from pirates cove compared with a lot more than that in days before. Man was I let down...

I agree it has been a slower than normal year in Carolina but the White Boys are up north and. If we can get a good NE blow within the next 3 weeks or so, things will fire up off OI. I don't know if the NE breeze forecasted for Sat. & Sun. will be enough as it may not extend far enough up the coast, but I would think Mon and Tuesday next week should have a good chance at a decent bite.

I agree...it was close this past weekend and won't be far away. That Allison whitey tournament should be good timing.
