    Have the Bft gone?????? The fishing here in MHC has been SLOW.Yesterday we fished and never had a BFT bite had 2 Fat AL and that was it.Has anyone Killed one this week?I new i should have went to FL.

    MHC is going to be a waste of time and money...those fish will not show up this year.......Capt Kobey fished 7 days without a bite....

    Save your money and time ...forget the BFT this year..

    few blue ones over 500lbs a few yellow fins over 70lbs 10 white ones in a day

    Everyone was Rockfishing today out of OI!! Must have been at least 100 boats off KittyHawk today and just as many up north around duck. Caught a limit before 12:30 and back home to hunt the last day of deer season tomorrow!!......Mark

    The next bite on a jig.
    The break for the right water was just offshore of the 14 yesterday. However the right sign, nervous water and petrels were in some very, very cold ugly water not far inshore of there.

    Plenty of good bait marks, lots of Gannets sitting down and cold water (49 degrees)on the east side Thurs just inshore of the Atlas. The good looking water on Wed was out by the 240 and west Rock just inshore of the Papoose. However, no bluefin for us either spot and either day.

    Maybe the fish pulled a "yellowfin move" and went down south by way of the other side of the stream. Also, wonder if the 1st push of fish was alot earlier this season and the few that were caught after Thanksgiving and into the beginning of December was the tail end of the 1st push.


    Like the comment Ray. I have heard Capt "O" say that before.

    BTH I think your right will all the cold water we had the BFT could have been here a lot sooner.Talk with some comm guys that saw a few bust the water and marked a few out deep 30fm. last week.
