I noticed the "silky smooth" look from a pic of a spool. It does look good and I can see it being a great line for the riggers and shotgun.

Prices are great I might give it a try

I use Ande Tournament Hi vis yellow and Platypus Pre-test. Never had a problem with either one

What do you think of the Hi-Seas Red Devil Hi-Vis? Would you recommend this over the yellow? Theory is interesting but I wonder if you have any real life experience.

    Thanks in advance!
FYI, for what it is worth...Mono is "translucent" meaning that light will pass through it, which is why the red lines will tend to dissapare in water, while a lure that is opaque, not letting light pass through it, will on the surface, stand out...

I just got off the phone with Hi Seas. The Red Devil line is a Co-Polymer with Silicone. The makes for a super soft, super abrasion resistant Hi Vis Line that is Super Tough and has zero memory. It has a high following with the Kingfish and Muskie crowd.

As you can see, it is very easy to see:

It is a great alternative for a Hi Vis line if you want a line that is very hard to break.

Last year it was near impossible to find bigger spools like 1, 2 and 5 lbs simply because it was a nice kept secret. I know it is a little easier to find now and Alltackle.com can get you any thing you need. Give them a call and thanks so much for all the info you have provided, it is all GREAT info

Red devil also does great on the old drum
I do like it for live baiting. Not for the disappearing trick but to keep the lines from crossing. Easy to see against the sky. Tied to flouro and keep the hi vis out of the water.
