get a large fish in your boat if you have no tuna door and two guys on boat? I have done this once but had 4 guys helping. I know many of the older fishermen on here had no tuner door when they landed the big slob so what did you invent and use that day?

Theres a zillion tricks. Open transom outboards you just stand at the back so the boat goes down as the fish comes up. Choice number two for those with closed transom boats is a come along. You can find em dirt cheap on ebay and they can handle a grander with ease. Once the head comes over its done. Make sure decking a pig though that you have some plan where to balance. I put a couple pigs in my little aquasport the wrong way and got lucky it ewasnt worse. I layed a 700 class bluefin in the bow and not only wouldn't the bota come on plane but she was threatening to take water going through the waves.
Another slob across the transom took me below my self bailers and water was comming in. Finally came up with across in front of the console to center the weight...

    does it matter?
A friend and I boated a 550 years ago in his 23 Mako by securing the fish with a locking lip gaff and a couple of ropes through the gills. Lifted the head as far as we could over the transom and tied it off to the console T-top. Brought the boat up to about 8 knots and pulled the throttles back hard. All the time pulling on the fish. When the wash flowed to the transom, it lifted the fish enough for it to slide into the boat. Just be careful not swamp yourself!

When I fished out of a skiff 23 seacraft before I installed removable gin pole. We made a flip board.
A piece of 3/4" plywood about 5 or 6 ft long and about 30"wide depending how high your gunnal is from the water. We had attached a couple of 2by6s on the bottom that were spaced apart wide enough to straddle the gunnel where you intend to drag the fish over the side. then attach a 6 to one block and tackle to one of your rods butts on the other side. The 2 by 6s want to be positioned so when the the board is tipped toward the water the end of it just touches the water. Put a rope thru his gills and out his mouth attach it to the block and tackle get him positioned and start pulling once there is some weight on the board they stay there pretty well. just keep pulling and as the weight comes up towards the gunnel the board will start to tip and the fish will slide right in. Once you figure this out it works very well. I have seen guys in Cape Cod do this by them selves many times. Remember the more weight that is on the gunnel the more the boat tips which makes the whole proscess easyer. But you need to use good jugment as how far you tip. That is why a block and tackle is better than a come along if you think your tipping to far all you have to do is let go!!! and the wieght will go back in the water This technique will also work over the transome if there is room
