I hope its Mack and Jack, 'cuz if its a sunfish...I'll have to ask...what are you pulling on those bars - jellyfish, peas and carrots with algea chain teasers??
Still only two winners. I have all three packed up and ready to be sent tomorrow. 9 fish all different species caught in the Poormans on Sept 5 199something. Actually now that I think about it, it was 198something. On the old My Desire now currently the Muff Diver. We had a charter of three. sometime in the first part of the day the left short pops. We had a simple green chugger jet type lure. All plastic. Something you would never think of pulling. The blue starts screaming across the stern and Capt Moon is silent. Usually he is a bit more vocal. We look up and he's bent over on the bridge rod. He keeps inching up the drag until POW! The line snapped. He said two would be to a cluster. lets get this one. We did and I touched my first Blue Marlin. I remember trying to grab him by the bill and he slapped me. I couldn't believe how strong he was. A few minutes later we caught a small bonita followed by a skippy. Somewhere around noon after we just released a _________ a white shows up on the right flatline. Fish makes a few spectacular jumps and then comes in like a baby and we get the release. Not twenty minutes later I see IT coming across the pattern almost like he belongs. We get him on the center long. We gently back up and let the slimey bugger go (What is he?). After about an hour of nothing we stick a peanut dolphin in the box. Our last bite of the day was a triple header if I remember correctly. We lost one right away and then the second turns out to be a false Albacore but the one still out their was a nice YFT over 60lbs. We Stick him in the boat and the captain relecutantly calls it a day. What a way to end the season. Now that I recall the entire story I remember that we also saw a third blue marlin somewhere inbetween all the other bites. He was lazily swimming along and made a half ditch effort at the same green lure put it never amounted to anything. So their you have. 9 fish - all different. Two of you have figured it out.
