Very lit up white... Round dorsal and pec fin tips is what makes me say that...

Kinda thinking the same thing deep but the bill seems a bit short, does the bill seem shorter?

I'll call em when I know em in the Atlantic--- A skinny White for sure. Deep nailed it. Notice no ridge dorsal present in a spear, rounded front dorsal of a Whte, White Boy paddles ( albeit skinny).

The only other pic is shown below. Only a portion of the bill is visible. The bill (top section) extended several inches past the lower section. So this might rule out the short-billed spearfish...

Sorry for the poor angles on the photos. And thanks for the feedback.

    Longbill Spearfish.

Shorter bill, pointed pecs, lack of body taper. when compared to a white.

I believe here in the mid atlantic we only get the long billed spear, and maybe this supposed species called the round scaled spear. The short billed spear are the ones caught in Hawaii (judging by the pictures i just looked at in my hall way).

Spearfish. They "light up" more brilliantly than other billfish in our area. Great picture.
