Application for employment requires some protocols to be observed, which are as follows:

At the end of your application process, your air tickets and cable visa along with your itinerary will be sent to you via federal express, after which you will be expected to resume work on the ship, after a briefing from your captain.

Look at the response mail. It probably originated out of Nigeria. Ultimately the goal by the scamer is to get money out of you to "get papers in order" or some sort of "commission or finders fee"
Be careful on how far you take this since your real name and address is on the web. These guy don't "F" around when you piss them off. The have no problem threatening your family when they dont get what they want.

If you want to play with them and string them along respond to it by a new email address. Just arbitrarily set one up through gmail or yahoo. they call that scam baiting and the brits have a nice little sport out of making the "scammers" jump through hoops and string them along. There idea is as long as they can waste the scammers time they are less likely to take real money from real people.
