Guys c-mon I can't believe more offshore fisherman don't know this. I think it is a hatchet and here is why.

Here are the rules:

White marlin - rounded dorsal

Blue Marlin - pointed dorsal

Hatchet Marlin - Square dorsal - (Looks like someone cut the point off) and the hatchet has the coloration of a blue marlin - kind of bland and not as colorful as a white marlin. After all it is a cross between the 2.

Most of the 80 and 90 pound "whites" that win the big tourneys are actually hatchets - look at the past winners pics and you will see alot of square dorsals.

That fish looks nothing like the so called hatchet marlin.
Biologists say that the hatchet is a white with exagertated
charicteristics. Either way Marty's fish clearly has a pointed
anal fin like a blue marlin and a very tall dorsal. The stills he
posted last year on TF also showed a very large eye similar
to a sword.

I'm sticking with "Link Marlin"
