I just got a TEXT from Captain Omar Oracca informing me he was replacing me this season...No forewarning or reason given, just see ya later. I am bent! I am not sure I have ever been stabbed in the back like this before. When I came home he said he wanted me to fly back Nov. 5th. I got a round trip flight and paid my rent in advance. The son of a bit$h cost me probably 1500 bucks for no reason other than he is a world class asshole. My new goal in life is to ruin him. All he had to do was to say, sorry Mike, things are not working out and I am thinking of replacing you. Instead he leads me to believe everything is perfectly fine, hell two weeks ago he contacted me just to let me know the status of the bookings for Nov. I don't know what to say or do right now as I am as angry as I have ever been. If anyone has any advice I am all ears, but right now I feel betrayed and used.

ruins my day for sure, it will always work out as it always has so far, but he showed his character and he will regret it. All I ask for is fair treatment, but as dad always said life is not fair.

perhaps he heard we were working on our own thing. He did not say, only some lame shit about having to miss a couple of charters while he went with me the first week I was there to learn the area and feel comfortable with paying customers in the area. Caroms working on it as we speak Vinnie.

Well thats a shot in the stones in a big way... From a guy who evidently doesn't have enough of a set to tell you to your face. WTF...

I've had jobs just go away over the years but almost always there is at least the courtesy of an explanation... One was a sales repping job for marine goods from a large company. They had lost a long timer who went to work for a competitor. I had my work cut out getting the territory back. Going in I had signed a no compete clause. One day, out of thin air, he told me I was gone... His brother who had just been laid off at another job got mine...
I said screw the "no compete" clause and the next day I went to work WITH the old salesman and left scorched earth for the inexperienced brother...

One thing in common I have noticed with all job endings though is that the next one is always better... You've got the skills and what it takes. Something will come along...
