I hate those bugs...you can usually tell when a hoo has one cause it's throat is kind of puffed out and distended. I take them out with the point of a hook (a WAHOONBOX trick).
We have found some monsters before aswell. Normally they just look a little buldged up in the throat area. I dont think i have ever seen one quite that big though.
They're called "Tongue-biter" parasites. They get into all types of fish all over the world. We just tend to see them in ballyhoo and menhaden the most in our area of the world. Nasty little buggers.
