Impressive fish Box, whether its 5 hours or 10 hours, still a nice one.
Hopefully one day soon I will make a trip to the edge I can share with all of you.![]()

I hope we can pick two.
First had to be the day I was offered a job on the first charterboat I worked on. Couldn't sleep for three days.
Second had to be the day I actually got to fight and release my first blue. After countless numbers of hook-ups and losing fish for whatever reason, (usually the chairman giving in and doing something stupid) and wishing, no,knowing if I could get the rod we had a chance, I finally got it. Great mate in the pit, a Captain who knew how to use the sticks, and a blue attatched to the rod I was holding. Twenty-six minutes later the 450-500lb. girl was smiling for the camera wishing we'd let go of her snoot. I slept well that night after a good swim and celebrating with copious amounts of alcohol.
Two great days to be alive.
I have two of them but alot of favorite moments ...
My son - Went To Miami for 3 days of swordfishing unfortunately the offshore report was bad so we went sailfishing which is a technical style we had to man the kites, the live baits and ran 6 baits off two kites.
I watched my 12 year old son son go 20 for 25 in two days of sailfishing, and he released a junior world record fish and I got this sequence of shots from that day. It was a rogue wave that came out of no where other than that t was a calm day

I jigged up a Striped Marlin on a butterfly jig and then proceeded to catch 5 more on topwater plugs, throw in a roosterfish and it was a perfect trip

Ken ... do you need to run a wire trace
I have 3. First was in Guatamela when I caught 13 sails in one day plus 5 or 6 nice dorado. Second was a couple of years ago when we went to Frying Pan Tower. Caught a 30 lb African Pompano, caught our limit on King Mackeral(6)largest 27lbs, caught and released another 15 kings, assorted sharks which were released, 14 Mahi largest in mid 20s, and lost about 6 cobia until finally catching one around 50 lbs. We had thought about fishing a king tournament but decided to fun fish. Had we fished the Tournament we would have had 3rd place on the King, 2nd place on the Mahi, and 1st place on the cobia. The third was when 5 of us went out and site casted pogies on Kings and caught our limit of 15 in less than 30 min. Ended up with 160 lbs after i cleaned them.
Glenn,When I use to work Long Range out of San Diego, and threw Irons and surface plugs I used straight mono, but that was then and things are alot more $$$$ these days.. Do you think it would hurt the action of the Popper?? Im going to give it a try once this weather blows threw.. Bring the boat back to my slip in Atlantic Beach this week so we'll be ready to roll ASAP.. Ken
