west coast east coast

hello everybody,i have one question to ask.im not live in US so
i quiet confuse between east coast and west coast.
i confused because when i check for a rod or reels most people will
mention where you fishing,west or east?
can anybody explained to me.

I think it goes beyond east-west.The north west uses diff from the so cal rods.Have not fished the no east but have the so east.From what I have seen is the limited use of spin tackle in the so cal area compared to the so east.Also stiffer but sections and lighter tips in the so cal area.Also the use of longer rods seem to be a trend with many fishing 8 to 10 ft.Im still stuck in the 7ft world.This does NOT include any trolling tackle as that seems to me a bit more universal.JMO,Tom

The west coast uses Snoopy and Barbie poles and can't catch a fish. The East Coast uses the good stuff.

The Snoopy rod classic is a invite only tournement we run in the Pacific NW every year only the most distinguished individuals get invited and I am proud to be included in this event!!!PEACE

now....now..be nice..i remeber seeing a yank trying to catch a shark with a snoopy rod....We all have our own styles...west coast is west coast..east coast is east coast!

when i was fishing the east ( canada ) at humbard river which tyes into the lake ontario.
i notice the type of fishing they do is called FINESSING.
NOW , i dont know if the whole eats coast do this .

long rods ( bass type ) 6lb test, fishing for 30lb species....... what a challege that i do admire..........


here in the west coast, WE ARE AGGRESSIVE FISHERMEN.

WHY, THE DAMB S.O.B. IS PULLING 25LB OF DRAGS OFF THE REELS.LOL ( tuna fishin)

MY GUESS IS, warm waters differs to cold waters.
