    WED SBH REPORT

Tues I spoke to Foul Hooked about the Monday bite and just had to go give it a whack. My son and his GF were off on Wed so we rigged up and got straight. I hooked up with a buddy boat and met at the ramp 0500 with a stiff 15 knt wind out of the SW, flags straight on the poles. Headed out the inlet 0530 not big seas but ball busters, 18-20 knts 3 hrs later lines in. Get a call from my bud, just missed him on the planer. Couple mins later we hooked up on the planer, 35lber in the box. We worked the 40-60 ftm break in about a 3 mile stretch the whole day. Got covered up with the bailers a couple times. Once while in the drift while Magan and Richard were cranking in the mahis the last line bowed over and started a slow pull. I went over and started cranking. I looked down when the fish was next to the boat and to my surprise it was another nice hoo. I didn't bother with the riggers today, we pulled the planer and 3 lines up top, went through 2 doz baits and got our limit. The buddy boat also got their limit by 1300. The wind started to build, we had enough and took another butt whipping going home but it was well worth it. This was the best day of fishing I have had offshore with my son ever. He worked the pit with a little coaching and by the end of the day he was rocking. Thanks Roger for the heads up. Can't figure out how to crop this pic, help please.

was out there myself on Wednesday, it did get rough. The picture you posted looks like you posted the thumbnail size. Try the next selection down to get the full size picture. Congrats on a great day, I didn't bother with my riggers either, didn't want to go thru the hassle of setting them in the rough sea.

Thanks for the report Rick, great to read about such a good bite... Being stuck in the Piedmont though, is driving me crazy!

was disappointed that I didn't boat more of the hook ups I had. I think maybe my leaders were a tad long and that the lure was running up to the swivel and another wahoo would stike the lure head causing a cut off.

Try sticking a toothpic in the hole of the lure to stop the slip up the leader.

Think I will try that trick and shorten my leaders just a bit
