    Are We There Yet ???,

Just got in from a pretty long delivery, 21 day's, 1799.6 mile's worth. My butt feel's like it's about 6 feet wide right now! I looked back there and it's really not. Finally got started on the long list I made for the boat I bought before I left. I have been on this same road 4 time's previously and swore I'd never do it again. The lesson learned here is never say never. I've said it for 35 year's now, "boat's are a sickness" and my opinion hasn't changed one bit.
But the reward come's usually in the middle of the night steaming in (or out) with the running and deck light's on, the engine's are doing the job the were designed to do (with that beautiful rumble), in a nice lazy roll roll. The crew asleep or just relaxing because they have the confidence in their skipper, knowing he'll get out or home in one piece (that confidence has to be earned and it feel's great when you have earned it). You will more than likely find yourself alone at the wheel and it will hit you, "it really was worth it after all". I am planning on this go round being my last "re-birth". I seriously am figuring on this working out to be the "last one", after all this is my retirement plan I'm working on here. I will say that I am looking forward to once again realizing that "it was worth it" again. Remember, never say never! Glad to be back, Frank

I t will definitely be worth it captain Frank!
Just imagine how many things you will do better the 4th time around, having had the benefit of the previous 3 and a lifetime of experience around boats.
I hope to some day be the "resting crew" in your new boat!
    Cheers,
    Nick

Welcome back Frank. When you start work on your retirement plan give Tim a call so he can come up and take pics of the refurbish to post on here.

    Robja,

Started on it yesterday. Sand blasted the hull to take many years of bottom paint off, will start Monday AM with 3 coats of Interlux epoxy sealer, followed by a couple coat's of Interlux bottom paint. Already bought additional electronics for her, but bought a Simrad Autopilot for her today. Shafts, props, couplings, cutlass bearings, and thru hulls will start coming out tomorrow. All will be serviced or replaced as needed. As far as the pictures go, I haven't taken any and probably won't till it's done. I find that the pictures in our minds are alot clearer than those we are able to just look at. I'll keep posting the work done if you guy's are interested. Hopefully it'll make a good boat when I'm through with it.
By the way, Capt Troy Crane on the "Marauder" has the same boat and has done a splendid job on his. They make very fishable boats. Frank

    It's Alway's About The Picture's,

Well if you've seen one you've seen a thousand, boat's that is. When she's done and ready for work I'll take and post some. Shafts, couplings, props, thru hulls and rigging have all been removed, bottom is blasted ready for epoxy sealer, new curtains are complete. Just not quite enough hours in the day for now. When the current stage is complete the electronics will get put on and work will start on the teak decks. What have I done to myself AGAIN???? Frank

Ah, she's gonna be a darlin' lass, she is! And her daddy is gonna dress her up pretty and teach her how to dance across the waves, he is!

I can't wait to see her, Frank.

Keep your eye on that dream!
