Hi all, new to the site here, but thought I'd throw my two cents into the pot. Out of CT we don't get much of a marlin bite, and if we do it's usually by accident, so tuna is my primary target. I do fish a wwwb bird usually with a GM 12 feet behind that. It does seem to work for me year after year. Whats great about this site is all the knowledge that gets passed back and forth. For example, I always run a spreader bar in my pattern, but only one at a time. After reading some posts on this site, I started running 3 at a time. Now maybe it's just coincidence, but my strike ratio has noticeable improved and I thank everyone on this site for that.
Now for my little wisdom tidbit. Like someone above stated, I have found that "v" the swivel makes to be a deterent at times. I experimented with smaller swivels, but wasn't quite satisfied. So I tried electrical tape, yes tape. Basically, I simply wind a little tape around the swivel to make it more streamlined when going through the water. I only use a little so as to not make the swivel into a stiff rig. I find that the "v" virtually disappears and I can keep using my normal size swivels. Hope this helps.
Mike

Reason: spelling
Food for thought ( honest to Pete): is it possible the WWWB thing is the best Tuna producer for some because their spread behind the boat is a kalidiscope of shit that would scare off Frankenstein's mother?
My favorite commercial of all time is the clown freshwater fishing in the Jon boat who pulls out a contraption about 2 feet long with spinners, shirts, etc. and says--- " I think I'll try this".
And to finish my Andy Roony schpeel regading swivels: "why is some people use 50 pund tackle and put on a 350 lb swivel?
-------/--------/---------- what that means somehow I feel everyone is having a good laugh at my expense if so let me know and If not then so be it Glen I agree that alot of guys the wwb is the most productictive because theu do pull alot of crap up close this is my last post on the board because the first thing I have really tried to share that I thought was a valuable theory everyone jumped on my case or seems to be mocking me cheers to you all see ya around the bend
