I watched the episode with Box and the Beast last night. I don't know the Capitan and the rest of the crew so I can't mention them by name.

Wow what a monster fish, the show said you guys missed the weigh-in by 6 minutes. That had to be heart breaking to catch a monster like that and miss the deadline.

I would love to hear a first hand the whole story from anyone that was on board.

WE WERE HIRED BY THE TIGER SIX OWNER WHILE THEY HERE IN MHC LAST WINTER TO DO THE "FILL IN" FOOTAGE FOR SO THAT NAT'L GEO COULD MAKE A FULL SHOW FROM IT....


IN ALL HONESTY....WHEN WE LEFT THE DOCK THAT DAY....I HAVE NO CLUE AS TO THE PURPOSE OF THE FILMING...ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS CATCH SOME BIG FISH....THE HAMMER YOU SEEN WEIGHED ABOUT ....250 GIVE OR TAKE...AND WE TAGGED IT. CAPT BRIAN AND IVO JIGGED THE AMBERS AND AMOCOS UP FOR LIVE BAITING


THERE WAS A NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC FILM CREW WITH PRODUCER/DIRECTOR, CAMERA MAN, SCRIPT WRITER ETC ON BOARD AS WELL


THE SCENES THAT FEATURED BRIAN AND I WERE SIMPLY REALITY /DRAMA SCENES USED TO FILL IN FOR THE ACTUAL EVENT....WELCOME TO HOLLYWOOD STUFF

IF YOU NOTICE THERE WAS SOME HAMMERHEAD ACTION IN THIS SHOW....THAT WAS BRIAN , DARRYL BROWER AND MYSELF ONBOARD FOR THAT FILMING.....THE BAITS YOU SEEN WERE BY CAPT BRIAN HARRINGTON

I SAY ALL THIS NOT TO DISCREDIT THE SHOW ....NOT ONE BIT....BUT I DO NOT WISH TO "MISLEAD THE PUBLIC" INTO THINKING WE WERE ONBOARD WHEN THIS FISH WAS CAUGHT ....THE ORIGINAL CREW DESERVES THE CREDIT FOR THAT AND I COMMEND THEM FOR THEIR EXCEPTIONAL CATCH

Thanks for the clarification Box. That was an amazing fish and it must have been heart breaking for them to miss the weigh in. But to beat a beast like that is a once in a lifetime event.

just saw the tiger six sitting in the sling up here in barnegat light last week. one of the guys from the dock said they had a issue with one of the screws. its a sweet rig, i will have to catch the episode

i can't stand the narrator on that show. and ever since the first episode with the european guy reeling his conventional upside down and backwards i have been turned off.
