Hair conditioner or Fabric softener + fresh water + comb + hang dry = like new hair lure.
Also, a spray bottle of Revlon "dual conditioner for synthetic hair" works too.

after you wash them use a hair dryer- that will really straighten and soften them up too.
I just run em under hot water in the sink it softens up the skirts and removes any kinks or twists - and if needed, I use a kitchen fork as a comb to untangle any mess. I would steer well clear of any scented soaps or fabric softeners - they would probably wash out when put back out in the troll, but why take a chance?
spray in hair conditioner with a hint of orange scent, one of those beard conmbs with the fine teeth. So they are straight, soft and smell like oranges just in case the fish are finicky. Plus makes the bag smell orangey fresh![]()
