Wahoo's a SNAPPIN!!

Made it out fishing on Saturday in less than ideal conditions with strong SE wind But the 56' made easy work of the seas and when the dust settled we had boated 2 nice wahoo (both were 40ish) and a real nice gaffer dolphin.

Had plenty of bites and should have had at least 3 more in the box but they were better than we were....thats how it goes....

Sent a buddy to the exact same spot today and he just called me and they put 7 hoo's in the boat and released a sail...

Wahoo are making a good showing for this time of year I am very excited about this upcoming fall.......

We were headed that way on Saturday as well for the wahoos and were going to look for sail with one of the small boat owners I have been doing some mate work for. Steering went out at the knuckle. Watched the sunrise and had a nice tow back to the dock.

Glad you and your buddy got into them. Sounds like the bite is turning on good!

Good report... Glad you both found the fish.

We fished yesterday as well. Covered a lot of ocean throughout the day. We had steady action until around 2:00, when we finally made it up to the area I had been working towards (same spot as described above I believe). On the first three passes we had three knockdowns, bam, bam, bam; it was on! Unfortunately we had to pick up and run inshore due to a bad thunderstorm approaching. Disappointing to finally find the bite and then have to leave, but still a good day. 2 wahoo (lost a couple more due to various reasons), several big albys, and caught some grouper and sea bass inshore on the way home.
