offshore yesterday
Fished offshore yesterday. Decent fishing. We had 5 wahoo, 4 blackfin and a king, handful more bites. Most of the bites were early, however did pick two of the biggest hoo's up in the afternoon down deep. Fished right on the break, started on the 350 fished down to the 319 and back up all the way to the big rock, nice conditions all the way. A few slight temperature changes, plenty of bait on the all the usual places, concentrated between 71.5 and 74.5 degrees.
Anyway, good to get off there again. Pretty good sign of things to come. Capt. B. |

Looks like 4 feet Thursday witha 10 to 15 breeze. I'm going to try and get out off shore and snag a who or two.
If anyone is interested PM me. This will be a help with the fuel type gig so bring a wallet and some frezzer bags.......room for 4. If by the grace of God, the BFT start chewing in the next few days, we'll give that another whirl but quite frankly Sunday had about 40 boats and we only heard of one undersized fish so something real special will have to happen between now and then. PM me if interested and lets try and go kill something. Haven't heard a reel scream in so long, I forgot what it sounds like. Oops.........Inshore looks good off shore looks ugly..thanks Slip Slidn. We'll see. Last edited by Bite Me; 01-15-2007 at 10:28 PM. |

Sat afternoon after going 3 days without a BFT bite we finally said F-it and slid a little outside for some grouper fishing. Caught our target groupers, plus a bunch of other tasty stuff. saw a free jumping sailfish - caught a shitpile of kings dunking some flashy old POS skirted hook with a dead cigar minnow on it and watch the sunset set on the way in. Damn you guys have the life.

Me and my son, Captain Bill, Lil Big Eye Will and Steve fished with the BEAST on The RUNOFF on Sunday. We had an awesome time. The kids got to reel in all the fish but 1. They kept each other occupied eating pop corn or shooting rubber bands back and forth or messing with the fish in the box. LOL We had fresh hot Strombolis for lunch too. Man o man did those hit the spot. The BEAST put us on the fish as always. We missed 1 shot at a Sail dog in the morning too. Actually I missed it. He knocked it out of the RL rigger, I dropped it back immediately but he was already gone. We had the RS rigger get cut off early in the morning. When we got back to the docks and they were cleaning the fish, 1 of the Wahoo's had the entire rig in its stomach. LOL Shorts and t shirts most of the day. Calm seas and a great time with friends, plus fish on top of that. Awesome day for the middle of January. Really looking forward to then next trip. Last edited by O-SEA-D; 01-16-2007 at 10:10 AM. |

I've been out a few times over this so-called winter and did OK in the same area. Ton of life in spots, glad to see your people were well taken care of.
