You Wahoo freaks ought to get a hold of a copy of Capt. Fred Archer's new book on high speed trolling and wahoo. It's an excellent read with lots of great info. He's got some pretty good ideas on this whole "leader length" issue.

Which tournament are you fishing? I'll be sponsoring/fishing the Wahoo Challenge out of Bimini/West End...Hope to see you there.

Speed vs Stealth.....I will take speed over stealth any day of the week...I've got customers in the Navy who catch Hoo's on 900lb cable and parachute cords at high speed....I've been in to many tournaments were stealth's #'s don't even come close to the speed trollers #'s....I've caught to many 100lb+ Hooters on a straight wire line outfit....Wahoo are not leader shy by any means...They have the same DNA throughout the World...same species...They are not smart....They are a giant mackeral....They bite your bally's before the hook because its in their nature to slice and dice...Not because they see your hooks and know those hooks will harm them.

Most importantly, you can't catch them if you don't run over them.
No doubt the speed set up is perfect for the conditions for the westend/ bimini etc due to the long edges and drop off's. Down here it's usually very sharp corners, or where the drop off protrudes out is where we find the fish staked on some days, so we mostly troll at 7-9 knots

The tournament is in Nevis, It's more for bragging rights.
