Nice rigs, that helps alot. We have never tried that fast yet, fear of break-offs.

Okay, I bought a pile of stuff from a Hatteras charter boat captian and included were two bent butts with Senator 9/0 reels spooled with what looked like Monel. I assume that is what these rods are for. Now what degree rod holders are you running this rods out of.

those reels are on the small side fo high speed trollin
I busted handles off two 12/0s before I switched to 130s
They sound like striper drege rods or winter grouper scoupers
Aftco makes some adapters that work great on the forward rod holders. The important things to consider are thbat the rod csticks up and over thbe aft rods and thbat the rods are pointed straight back and not angled out to the side, could cause yer line to tfavel from yer reel and scrape along the guide sides instead of spinning on the roller

What basic information could you give to a relatively new fisherman like myself, i like your rigs and am interested in purchasing some setups for wahoo, we normally fish off Ocean City and every once and a while you see some wahoo but i think it would be fun to target this fish.
We will be fishing on 50 Tiagra LRSA's most likely on stand up rods but may have a couple of bent butts in the mix, it is still unclear which rods will be purchased. Could you shoot me a PM with some detailed information on your products, if your selling them like where i can get them, price etc...and any other information to put some good size wahoo in the box this year.
Thanks
Phil

Anthony allways disapeerz for a few days everytime he falls in love. But he allways checks his e-mails from his site

He is a good fisherman but I completely disagree with one of his acertions about why high speed.trolling is so effective. Yeh ya cover ground. That's a good point but it just doesn't explain why I cought so many wahoo when I passed by Gabbys place at 15 knots and got covered up yet when I made another pass at 8 knots I got nothin then sped up and got fish again
I trully believe the speed has more bto do with enciting their prey drive at certain times when the tide and atmosheric conditions woujld otherwise cause them to be placid
When is the best time to run wahoo lures in the canyons? The absolute best time is when yer passin strructure, the barometer is falling and the seas are kicking up, and the tide is changing. Even if the tide is spent and the squall pushin through is of a short duration, I would put out the wahoo lures.
If you have had a high sittin over yer grounds for several days, the wahoo pickins will usually be singles, the small ones under 20#s will still bite but the bigger ones will stop feeding for a couple of days. but as soon as the barometer starts fallin from that afternon shower or squall expect the big ones to start shreddin.
