so first let start by defending my ignorance with - down in S FL, we dont troll as much as you guys do. Its almost all kites and live baits.

so I get that the "bridle" is set up for the planer to be attached at that point. this allows the planer to removed from the rig and the fish reeled to the boat with wiring 30 or 60 ft of leader behind the planer.

but how does the planer get attached to the bridle? are you attaching snap swivels to the front and back ends? i would imagine that the rear snap would have to be pretty slack in order for the planner to function.

down here we only break out the planers for kingfish and bonitas on the reef. normally for wahoo we either live bait or high speed troll.
