I was at work tonight day dreaming. Sorry. If you dont get your package ontime today i'm deeply sorry. After hearing that my buddy landed a bft saturday in cape cod bay 904#. What is the largest fish you stuck?
I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO CLAIM I HAVE EVER COME CLOSE TO THE WEIGHT OF A NORTHERN GIANT AS YOUR FRIEND HAS
OUR FISH RUN AVERAGE 300-500 LIVE WEIGHT IN CAROLINA WITH SOME EXCEPTIONS GOING EITHER WAY
MY BIGGEST CORED I THINK WAS 439.......NOT NEW ENGLAND STANDARDS BUT THE PAYDAY WAS ACCEPTABLE
12 YRS AGO ON CHRISTMAS DAY, ...."EMTAE", THE PONETAIL AND MYSELF DID CATCH & RELEASE A GIANT AT THE INLET IN MY C/C.....WHICH I CONSIDER TO BE MY BIGGEST TO DATE...I HAVEN'T A CLUE JUST HOW BIG SINCE WE BROKE OUR ROD FIGHTING IT IN A FIXED 30 DEGREE ROD HOLDER......I DID HAVE IT ON THE LEADER TWICE AND WE MANAGED A RELEASE OF IT
That is still an excellent catch there.. you may not have the biggest but i will put my money down and say you have got to have alot of them under the belt el' boxo..
Hmmm thats interesting. I still cant imagine a 500 pounder thats awsome stuff right there. This was his second biggest. he had 1014 or something along those lines. Good stuff. Now that I took part in a blue marlin there is only two things left that I want to do before I die. A giant tuna and Im not going to say the other thing. Oh well I was hoping to get up to the bay next weekend a yellowfin trip is going to blow that.Wahoo have you had the opertunity to fish up here off the cape for giants? If so do they fight better worse the same? I know every fish has a mind of there own. I had a pair of bluefin 3 years back 61 and 63 in the box gutted in 12 minutes. We had 4 fish that night on the chunk a quater there size that faught 4 times as hard.
