    Wahoo Challenge (Bahamas)...Great Story

My friend Ben has been working diligently at my shop gearing up for the Wahoo Challenge...Ben was fishing with a rookie crew aboard Team Fulunga...This was team Fulunga's first ever Wahoo tournament..They were fishing against some of the best Wahoo fishermen in the World...In fact, except for Ben, not one crew member has ever caught a Wahoo.....I made Ben some of my favorite WahooKing colors along with some new experimental lures for the tournament...The first day of the tournament was very slow...Only 17 or so fish were caught...Team Fulunga was pretty bummed with a big egg goose on day 1...The second day was a different story...Team Fulunga got a late start and was the last boat out in the fleet...So they decided to high speed troll the edge right out in front of Bimini while the other boats ran 50-100 miles...Notice the high speed zig-zag pattern over the ledge.

They had a complete spread of my WahooKing lures and it paid off...Team Fulunga came to the weight station with the most # of Wahoo for day 2...They racked in 177.25 lbs for day 2 and finished 3rd overall....They missed out of 2nd by 2 lbs and 1st by 7 lbs.

You think these guys were happy?

Team Fulunga was so pumped, they insisted I take a pic with my WahooKing lures and my new lure as well.

I wish we could have made that leg but the boss's schedule said "nope". Well be there for the last leg and I'm looking forward to it...
