    Video Posting Help

I'm sure this topic has been discussed many times...but, here goes. My Mac computer saves video in a wierd formal but I can convert them to other file types. I was trying to upload my video of Ocracoke Fishing trip last night. Rather big file and came to the computer this morning and there was no progress.

In the options to change file types there are all sorts of options like kilobytes per second, codec and many others. Does anyone know what the magic combination would be to get a good quality video in the appropriate format for SFC. The video is 7 minutes long and not HD.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

MPEG4 will give you a good quality upload. Not sure what length you can upload here on SFC but most will only allow 5-10 minute max upload time as well as a max file size.If MPEG4 is to large try MPEG2 and see if there is a difference in file size. Mark

Thanks, I used mp4 and it was a much smaller file size. As I am trying to upload to the site, I am running into the same issue with the upload process freezing early on in the status. Don't know why I can't upload.

Never mind, just figured it out.
