    VID Camera Info.

    Box,

I am seeking your recommendation on camera (make, model) and set up to get quality VIDs of pit action (blood and guts). Also any software recommendations that will be required to produce final product.

Just basic DOs and DON'Ts from your experience.

I like the quality of your VIDs.

    Thanks,

    Geaux Deep

if you buy a Sony DVD camera you might think you might be doing your self a favor but you arent. Go with BOX. He is tha master. Sony has there own movie program that you have to buy and it looks like crap if you dont use a Sony DVD. Trust me go with the BOX.

    BOX,
I was in BestBuy this evening. They have the "version 11" in stock. Have you upgraded to this? worth the $$?
I already have a Sony DVD camcorder, I was shopping to replace the still camera--soaked by a fish in OZ this year.

I read the recommendation to use Sony's software. Box--u use Pinnacle with a Sony camcorder? any issues there?

The only issues I've had using sony equipment with pinnacle software is pulling the movie off the camera, it works fine but ensure you read the instructions including the fine print

    I have a JVC Everio 25GB Hard drive...LOVE IT

I used to use windows movie maker which worked just fine, and now am starting to adobe premier pro.

I don't recommend Adobe because it is very confusing to use and takes hours to learn just the basics. I got it because it is very powerful and within a year or so I should be able to do some crazy chit!

I would recommend the JVC EVERIO 30GB like Box said for sure. Had mine for over a year with no problem.

good luck and let us know what you go with

Thanx for that. the tech guy at Best Buy said there would be issues getting the data off the Sony. said I would probably need a "ripping program", whatever the hell that is.
If it's a bit lengthy, could you send me a PM with details, or PM me your ph# if I could give you a call about this chit.
    Thanx
