    Very Small tournament between friends

Drinking beers with some friends, we decide to make a small fishing tournament, heavy fish wins all. We were 10 angler in 3 pangas( that’s how we start) there was some spread information between anglers and at the end we ended with 11 boats and more than 35 anglers.
We decide ask for a ridiculous amount of money ($5) as a jack pot (at the end we split it in 3 for the first 3 places)
    1 price 100
    2 price 75
    3 price 10+( a $ 25 certificate in a local shop)
Headed to Acajutla al 4:30 am with Karla to meet all the group, I have been fishing these waters regularly so I knew what to, 3 days before I received a package from Morehead from my good friend WAHOONBOX.
There were a lot of nice looking lures and skirts, so my plan for this tournament blown away (Thanks BOX, GLENN W and OVERBOARD) I have to rig these lures and try them.
At the end of the day we ended with 2 dorados, and 5 YFT, we could get it into the podium. The fist place was a wahoo (22 pounds) 2nd place a Gallo(20 pnds) and 3erd place a dorado(18 pnds).
In total there were more than 100 YFT football size, some small mackerels and some bonitos.
    Ill post the pics later

Can't wait to see the pics JP. That has to be the cheapest entry fee I have ever seen. Was there a catagory for most cerveza consumed

In fact it was, our team was bitten by a 6 pack.

At the end it was a nice fishing day, tons of fish lot of beers and a happy crowd. I think next moth we will be fighting for the revenge.

Those are some nice pictures JP. I like the weigh in shots.

Do most boats carry a spare motor on them?

Love your pictures and reports coffee man! The tournament you speak of here is the kind I'd like to fish some day. I would definitely attempt to win the cerveza championship!

THAT PICTURE OF THE PANGAS LINES ALL UP SIDE BY SIDE JUST BLOWS ME AWAY! .....AND THEN THE ONE WITH THE HANGING HOOKS.....GEEZZZZUSS H .....PRICELESS

I ALWAYS THOUGHT THAT I WAS A LUCKY MAN...BUT AFTER THIS THREAD......... TRULY, I THINK YOU JORGE ARE A LUCKY MAN AS WELL. BY READING AND ENJOYING THE PICTURES OF YOUR WORLD JORGE, YOU HAVE OPENED MY EYES WIDER TO APPRECIATE WHAT I HAVE

I JUST FISHED TWO TOURNYS PAYING OUT OVER 3 MILLION DOLLARS IN AUGUST ALONE...

IF THE SEA SPLENDOUR HAD WON BOTH OF THEM I WOULD HAVE COMMISSIONED A QUARTER MIL POSSIBLY....AND HERE .....HERE YOU ARE HAVING A CERTIFIED BLAST WITH YOUR FRIENDS FOR A FEW BUCKS...AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE A T-TOP FOR SHADE....
