Venice charter captains need our support

I've seen alot of talk on different forums about folks canceling trips to Venice in light of the oil spill. I've talked to some of these captains in the last couple of days and they are very worried about how this is going to affect thier lives. many of them have just taken delivery of new boats or are getting new motors installed and can't afford to lose business in this critical time. after a horrible winter weather-wise these guys are going to have to make thier money for the year in the next 4 months.
this is a terrible spill but the media is blowing it's size out of proportion. I talked to a captain who took a film crew to south pass yesterday and the is no oil there or tiger pass or red pass and 75% or more of the deepwater rigs are oil-free.
as far as lodging most captains can find you a place to stay whether it's thier place or somewhere else.
also please remember to only use full-time charter services. there are several part-time captains down here who have other means of income and are trying to pay off thier boats or just thought it would be cool to be a charter captain. these full-time captains only have one source of income and it is you! now is not the time to turn your backs on these guys!

The fact is it is going to be a tough time for everyone even here on the east coast. The gulf stream comes from the gulf of mexico so it is only a matter of time before the oil gets up here off the eastern seaboard. Another problem is that when the fish such as marlin and bluefin spawn in the gulf their eggs drift on the current. I am confident in saying that if the eggs get in the oil it will kill them. This is going to be a huge mess for all of us. I really pray that they can shut that well off.

THIS WILL HAVE A WORLD WIDE ECO THREAT.....MAYBE THE OIL COMPANIES CAN NOW PAYOFF THE BOAT LOANS FOR THOSE INVOLVED HERE

AND THE SOUTHERN ENCROACHMENT OF THE LABADOR CURRENT HAS ALSO EFFECTED MUCH OF NORTH CAROLINA AND THE CHARTER BIZNESS HERE AS WELL........WHERE ARE THE NEWS CREWS ON THIS EVENT?

    I GOT A WONDERFUL IDEA!
INSTEAD OF PORK BARREL MONEY FOR THE NORWIEGAN GARDEN CLUB FUNDING FOR SEATTLE UNTITY & HARMONY....OR GRANT MONEY TO STUDY THE THE WILDFLOWER GROWTH ON INTERSTATE-10......MAYBE SHOOT A FEW HUNDRED BILLION OBAMA BAILOUT BUCKS TO THE UNITED STATES CHARTER FLEET THAT HAS BEEN SO AFFECTED....

PAY OFF SOME BOAT LOANS....FEED A FEW DESERVING FAMILIES

Make no mistake, the oil companies will pass along the additional costs to the consumers who will cover the tab.

There is an additional story that is going around that the rig sinking was not an accident. That on the day before earthday it was intentionally attacked. That is the unofficial word. On Savage Nation they said that it was a North Korean submarine.

If anyone thinks that anything is going to be done in a timely manner, just look at the Exxon Valdez spill..They have just begun to settle with fishermen and others effected by that spill and at a fraction of what they sued for...Prince William Sound to this day is still seing the effect of the spill..
