    Get them from your deer butcher.

    There bags are twice as strong as what you can buy. I'm not sure if a residential sealer will work for them but it's worth a shot.

    Vac Bags

    Put them in a zip loc. Place zip loc in vac. bag. Don't cut the vac bag to short if you are taking them from a roll. If you have to, fold paper towel and place down in vac bag on top of zip lock. Place in sealer and keep sealer bag/bait alittle lower than the sealer. Works everytime and I have a cheaper sealer from HomeDepo (Black&Decker) I think. You can't get any liquid,slim nothing on the vac bag in the area of seal.
    We put herring up for bait ever year.
