I have no doubt these baby's will be perfect for running deep and long on the humps for Bluefin this season for the guys out of IR and OC fishing the hambone/sausages and other inshore lumps at over 2 ounces they will drop deep when you run them long and the skirt will protect the bally from premature washout and they sure have the flash. Matanza's may not replace your ilanders but at half the price they should be competeing for a spot in your spread. And they are the only bait for your planer rods or downrigger baits.
I have to agree with Capt. Jake that on the snotty days these will outdo a sea witch for holden position and keeping the bait down in the water where you want it.
Now Bill what about that rubber tuna you had in a picture the other day, release date?

Can you explain the what happens with the bell being cut off that makes it run upright? Does this mean that is trolls down at an angle while being pulled along or paralllel with the surface of the water only deep down. Or does the bell being cut off cause the lure to "roll" over and run with the wieghted side down which would make it parallel to the surface but down deep.

    Thanks Bill

bill - the idea of the half bell is that it will swing the bait upright if rigged properly. but then again any bait can spin if rigged improperly. It more acts as a quide to lead you to rig the bait with the bell side down to allow it to swim properly. Once you see it and rig it you will easily understand.

    thanks
    Bill
