    Attack sub

That looked like an attack sub. You should see the size of the boomers; they are enormous. They really have an escort since they carry the ballistic missiles.

    Bubble Head from 1985-1989

Didn't have escorts then, I served on a couple Attack boats, then got married and served on Boomers.

I had a rod on the boomer, the capt. would let me and a mate fish the swim calls and when in port.

Tough to troll though, one big @ss screw just aft the rudder. You would have needed an 90' outrigger!

Who needs a planer when you got that rig. I want one for next tuna season. Bastards can't hide from that.

My brother and I were bringing his 33 express up the intercoastal a few springs back. Got to kingsland naval base and had some engine trouble, so he was down below. I was steering when a coast guard boat zoomed up to us with machine guns and ordered us to head out bow towards the shore and not to turn toward the VESSEL by any means!!!! Well I turned port and idled down. As we approach the shore depth went 10, 9, 8, 6, 4, and I was like holy cow. Put the starboard engine in reverse and the bow started to come around due to the 5 knot tide. No more than 5 seconds later a black zodiac style boat with a 50 cal haulling butt towards us shouting "TURN THE VESSEL TOWARDS THE SHORE OR BE FIRED UPON!!!!!!" I didn't have much knowledge of running this boat, let alone with one engine out and a 5 knot tide pulling us towards the marsh. It was pretty sketchy!!!

After the sub went by the 12 SWELLS of wake it created almost threw us overboard... ...Wow what an experience!!!
