Turtle Catchin?
The landowner at the place I've been shooting groundhogs, geese and deer all year has issued a new challenge to me.
Get rid of the damn turtles in his pond.
I'm guessing I'll have to wait for warmer temps, but I figure one of you rednecks around here might have a few tips.
I'm thinking a few crab traps, some stink bait, the guys paddle boat, and some beer might just work.
Any tips or thoughts that can help me on my way?

Float a nice log for them to sun on and snipe'em with the .22...just my .02 cents worth.

I have seen turtle traps on line at Janns net craft....they have several different kinds. Never used them so I don't know how usefull they are, I have always used a .22 like Thin Blue Line. But be careful, a .22 will glance off a shell if shot at a wrong angle...

You need to talk to Johnseafood. He is the master trapper.

Crab mustard is good
Damm the 22 go full bore get the 357 out no chance of a stray.

set a longline. Use like 400 for a main line and crimp circle hooks like every couple feet on droppers. Come check it and haul it in. you'll have'em by the headso they shouldn't be able to bite you.
