Ok, can't say I didn't invite you guys, my open boat shark trip morphed into a canyon run with Carl LaManna and friends and Louie La Rosa. We started out at the 100 square of the Hudson Canyon, but then I found warmer water out past the mouth of the canyon. We trolled up 6 yellowfin from 45 to 60 pounds. Beautiful fish, not the little rats of the past two seasons. We also released a blue shark overnite and boated a 10 pound Mahi. This is a great start to the canyon season. Hope to see you out there! Tight Lines!

Yeah, I skipper one so familiar with the lines, but I must say the teak deck adds a nice touch.

Now don't go getting all lathered up about the teak deck, it's the fish that are important!! Yes the boat is a Cape Horn, the C-Annamal, it's owned by my slip neighbor Carl LaManna and the "teak" is an after market add on, it's a custom fit synthetic material that wears like iron. I'll have to ask him what it's called. But if you want fish, call me! I think we are doing bluefin and sharking this weekend. Tight Lines !
