Tuna Bombing

I've heard this is a good way to get the tuna when their down deep. All i know is that it involves a big ass weight. Could somebody please explain how his rig is setup ? (leader,weight,bait, ect) Is this approach even worth the trouble?

A Tuna Bomb is a wieght of 1-2 pounds with a 8-12 inch piece of surgical tubing that you put on your line above your bait. You secure it in place with a rubberband and when a tuna takes your bait the line comes out of the rubberband which allows it to slide down the line and into the tunas mouth so it can act like chaffing gear.

it is really 1/4 inch synflex air brake tubing we used them alot when we were fishing the bacardi with light line they work great!
