Truly Crazy Red Drum
Last night was incredible, I went with a friend yesterday to purchase a new 19ft Maycraft, afterwards we went back to his house and had few wild turkeys and sat on the deck, he lives on the canal where the Atlantic Beach Police park thier boats.
Right before it got dark the red drum were swarming all over the canal, it was crazy, they were jumping and one almost jumped on the dock, there were hundreds, my buddy is just getting started in fishing, the only thing he had was two spin rods, some hooks, and bobbers, no bait.
I asked him if he had some corn and he brought out a can of cream corn, no shit cream corn, and we used that with the bobbers and we nailed them, As soon as the corn hit the water they were attacking it like it was thier last suppper, I have never seen that many drum in such a small area. They averaged 10-18 inches, It was absolutley crazy and we had allot of fun. Now he is hooked big time on fishing.

Cool, very cool. You don't get to see this very often but it does happen from time to time. When the Mullets run in the fall, you can catch them on "caned corn", not the cream kind...cool story...

Sit down Shut up And fish
Okay, I'm calmed down to a heart rate of 120 now, and can type. Man... schooling reds on the feed, regardless of size, are JUST PLAIN FUN.
