Is it just me or is this guy a flaming a**hole. i dont know if you have ever seen his sho but in the opening credits he tries to tell you that he straight out that he is the best fisherman who ever lived and that he has caught more big eyes than any man alive....your not foolin me bro....you dont even know how to striped bass fish....give me a break....his son is no great shakes iether.....any other opinions?

He does know how to stripe bass fish. I know this for a fact.

He also does a lot for the fishing industry and has raised countless thousands of dollars for underpriveleged kids through his tournaments and he doesn't take one penny for himself.

Yes he is an A**hole....but a likeable one. That's Tred.

when you take in to consideration his charity work it is easy to see where hes comin from.....but man tht guy talks....but hey if you got it you got it.....however i sme of his claims may be a little out there .....if he reads this hopefully he can explain his TREMENDOUS cockyness.....theres lots of great fishermen who you will never hear say say so......ass hole but in a respectable kind of way....i can understand that

Thing about Tred is, he can back it up. If you got to know him would not say that about him. Tred does a lot for countless thousands of kids and ask for nothing in return. That a lone is more than for most people. He has come on here and done Q & A sessions for us, never ask anything from us other than we support the Boys and Girls Club. More Big Eyes than any other person...from what I've been told by those in the know, its backed up. I know that I have never shot a duck or black bear with bow and arrow, nor have I killed a wild bore with Knife. In a nut shell, its all backed up...does he brag about it or have a right to...
I'm for one glad that I know Tred...hope you get to one day...

and dude, that remote that came with your tv is for changing the channel, if you dont like him, his arrogance, or attitude turn the channel. I dont know the man personnaly but like Lee says he backs it up and he does it in public and from what I can tell is not afraid to show his good days and bad

I have known Tred since we were both young dock rats and I can tell you this for a fact...There are damned few fishermen in the world who could even hope to carry that man's jock down the dock. And just for your information, when it comes to bigeyes, he is the undisputed King! In the early days we both pinhooked the 'eyes. Me and my crew caught a lot of them. Tred BURIED us!

He walks the walk, and so he's entitled to talk the talk.

That's it, before I start saying what I'm really thinking.
