Tred can act any way he wants to it's his show. Actually I find him entertaining. When he goes off on everyone I just laugh. I've done that on my boat before when I shouldn't have due to the inexperience of the group. Also I"m not nearly as good as almost everyone else on this forum.
Tred has done a lot for the kids in the community where I fish. If you don't have anything nice to say JUST SHUT THE **** UP!
I don't know Tred but I like him . I watch his shows , I have seen what his tournament does for kids. I look forward to his columns in sport fishing magazine.
I definitely don't always agree with his point of view in his column but I respect the fact that he has beliefs and stands up and defends them. Some people seem to hate him, others love him, but you gotta respect him
I had the pleasure of meeting Tred and fishing for 3 days with him, He is the same on and off the show. A genuine person straight up and to the point. Definitely a little eccentric but as true and genuine as you get, And oh ya he can fish
i like Treds shows because he is not afraid to tell you when you are doing something wrong.
Anybody want a peanut?
Tred is most obviously an expert in marketing. The single most operational requirement for any program is to attract viewers, sell advertisements and solicit sponsorship. He succeeds at that quite well. I find him excessively arrogant, hypocritical, and boring at times. The techniques he discusses are those which are not revolutionary, and furthermore are ones which we all use off our coast. However, his focus on kids and his sponsorship tournaments which emphasize simply having fun, is well established. I give him a ton of credit for that. I used to watch a few of his shows during its initial run last year or the year before, however his arrogance, self promotion, and bragging got old. Something about being humble and confident without shoving down others throats, works just fine for me thank you. Anyhoo, he is who he is. I used to fish with a group of folks who tried to act like this guy, and well, lets say, I fish alone these days. I enjoy the company just fine.
