I have Sea Tow and they've helped me out twice. Great and professional both times.

I use BoatUS due to the proximity of their ports to where I fish period. Check out their respective websites for detailed port locations. In my opinion that is biggest difference between the two in the Northeast...

My guess is that they are both about the same, you just have to look and see which one covers your boating area the best.
Find your local Towing co.s number and ask them what there services cover and there respective territories and avg response times ,they both usually cost the same per year .
I am partial to seatow because I used them for years and recently worked for them ,one other thing is that seatow has a larger $ amount reimbursment for out of area tows,
what ever you do get one or the other or it could cost you big time![]()
I've use BoatUS since it's inception in the Merrimac/Newburyport area, never had a problem, and have never seen a piece of paperwork, they do it. The guy does it all diving, towing, salvage, 24/7, and will work with you....with the Unlimited Coverage there is no additional fees. And they tow to your port, not the closest port which could be an issue on longer trips. Seatow in the same area hasn't always had a boat and when they did, they didn't go out at night. As was said check the coverage for your area, and what's included for your type of fishing.

thanks for the info!
I used to have Sea Tow and switched to Tow Boat, no real reason other than a $25 off coupon. Used it a couple times (once 30 miles off at midnight) and they guys have been great so I have kept using.
It was 4 years ago now, don't know if there is still one offered. I pay full price now.
