Oh the dirty ole slot, I guess your talking aobut the the slough out on the shoals. Makes my lower sphincter tighten up just talking about it. I remember a trip after one of the hurricanes a while back when we were on the eastern side by way of rounding and fishing the knuckle and over to the Chicken Rock and called the Coast guard on the way in to see if the bouys were still on station. They said NO WAY!!. Can you say 40 feet of water to 6 feet of water in just a few yards. Nothing like planing it off on top of a breaker.
