Best Catch: PONEYTAIL
Occupation: OFFSHORE MATE VIDEOGRAPHER
WILD GOOSE REPORT-NO VIDEO

AS I LOADED UP THE HEMI WITH DINK RODS, DA SNIPER AND A COUPLE FIFTIES.....I NOTICED ZERO MOVEMENT ON THE CREPE MYRTLES .....FINALLY, THE MAN HIT DA NAIL ON THE HEAD WITH SOME LIGHT & SLIGHT.....IT WAS QUARTER AFTER 4 BELLS AS I PULLED INTO FT MACON MARINA....ALL BAITS WERE PRE-PREPPED THE EVENING BEFORE AND I WAS OPTIMISTIC OF A GOOD BITE WITH THE POOR REPORTS FROM THE PREVIOUS TWO DAYS....BUT WHAT THE HECK....MAYBE THEY WILL CHEW...AT LEAST I AM GOING...

I HAD CIRCLES ON ALL DINKS TODAY IN PREPARATION OF THE WMO NEXT WEEK...A GREEN SQUID TEASER CHAIN WITH A HORSE ON THE BACKEND SUPPORTED THE PORT SIDE ARSENAL AND THE SNIPER WAS ON THE RIGHT.....WITHIN MINUTES WE HAD A NICE GAFFER IN DA BOX AND I THOUGHT ...COOL....GREAT START.......THEN STINKY SHOWED UP......TWO HOURS THEN PASSED AND NOT A SNIFF..............

I STARTED OUT IN 90 FT TODAY....RARE FOR ME TO DO THIS , BUT SINCE THE CROWD FOUND NO FISH ON THURSDAY OFFSHORE , I THOUGHT WHAT DA HELL....LET'S TRY SHALLOW FOR A CHANGE.

I SOON WORKED OUT TO 25 FATHOMS...THEN 30........NO BITES....I'M DYING HERE!....80 FATHOMS...NOW 110....I TALKED TO THE "ISLAND GIRL" AND HE HAD A WAHOO AND JUMPED OFF A WHITE EARLIER.....HE WAS IN 140 FATHOMS AND COMING IN SHALLOW SO I SEEN NO NEED TO CONTINUE SO I TOO TURNED AROUND AND HEADED BACK TO THE MUD.....

GOSH IT WAS SLOW...NO BIRDS.....VERY FEW FLYERS........NOW I'M BACK IN 30 FATHOMS AND KOWBANGO.....ONE WAHOO IN DA SACK ON THE SNIPER....SMALL..... MAYBE 18 ....BUT FINE DINNER FARE.....NOW TWENTY MINUTES LATER AND YET ANOTHER HOO MEETS DA STEEL...SAME SIZE

THE BOAT BESIDE ME HAD JUST PICKED UP TWO MORE WAHOOS AS WELL AND A SAILDOG ....WHEN DOUG SAID: "THERE HE IS" ....SAILFISH!.....LEFT SHORT......THE DOG JUST FLATOUT TOOK THE BAIT AND TURNED AND THEN BEGAN THE TWO STEP-THE TANGO AND THE BOSANOVA ALL WITHIN FIFTY YARDS OF THE STERN....3 MINUTES OF COOL ACTION AND WE GOT A RELEASE .....

30 MINUTES PASSED AND WE JUMP OFF A SECOND DOG AND THATS THAT FOR TODAY......

IT WAS SLICK ASS BEAUTIFUL CALM TODAY .....A LITTLE MEATNBOX....A LITTLE AERIAL ACTION....AND THANK YOU JESUS........

NOW I CAN PULL FOR GOTTAFLY TO DA SOUTHERN TO WIN THE HANNAMN CLASSIC....

LIFES GOOD....REEL GOOD.

Nice report, its always good when you can put meat in the box for dinner, and get a sail release. Did the sail come on a circle?

Dude, man you had a great day. Not much on the water front yesterday. One boat had a couple flip flops and that was the best catch. Pretty work. We decided to sit on the dock today.

This is Box's thread, however, I must admit that he hit the nail on the head. Yesterday was a day to count our blessings for the good weather and the opportunity to be out there, NOT a good catchin' day. 100+ miles of running, maybe a couple dozen flyers. At least twenty bottom spots checked: lockjaw. I kept telling myself that it was going to turn on any minute, but it never did.

Scratched out a little weekend dinner, but not much else.

Dog days of summer are here. Going bikini watching with Lil' Biscuit today!
