TLD vs GLD

I know the TLD is a tried and true reel but how does the penn GLD compare to it. Please let me hear the good bad and the ugly. Which would you choose?

I would choose the TLD. 2 reasons. No need to fix what is not broken. and I really don't think there a penn reel out there better than a shimano. I mean they just arent as smooth as shimanos period.

I CAN'T DO A COMPARISON CAUSE I HAVE NEVER EVEN TOUCHED A GLD.....SORRY

BUT I DO LIKE THE TLD'S .....I SURE HAVE TORTURED A MANY OF THEM!

After much discussion here on SFC I ordered 6 TLD 25's. From what I gathered you cant touch the TLD's as far as graphite reels go. Just look around the docks, there is always a couple tld's on every boat. That right there says something. If you decide to go with the tld's let me know, i found a place where you can get the for $120.

I have 4 GLD's 30. great reels, been used and abused over and over. no problem so far. have had them for about three years now. the only way I'll switch to shimano is if they are for free
