Jimmy the Bass Kandy Delights in the 6" & 10" match up to the sand eels pretty well. For those of you that don't know they are like the bass assains. They are starting to market some to the offshore ranks by placing the mono down into the BKD with an need & out the side with a bead to hold it and a crimp on the line at the top to attach to the hook. Basically it just moves all over the place but I have not tried them yet to confirm.
Marty sorry for all the plastique foo foo talk I know you get the shakes when we strat that up.
I couldn't agree more. We ran into a MASSIVE school for stripers tearing up the surface at Devils Bridge off MV. We threw everything until I noticed the small brown krill they were slurping on. I pulled out the flyrods with some brown shrimpy looking things and shabang!
Thanks for the reminder. An old gentleman who taught me to fish when I was very small told me it was the secret to all fishing. He was teaching me to fly fish for trout back then.
