    Snow i've seen what you are talking about and that is not what we have. Mine would be 2+ feet below the first spreader, since i'm running electrics don't really need the extra pulley the one helps it though still easier than running striaght off the rod tip. I've seen afew guys use that setup you show with the smaller miya epoch reels mounted in the hardtop and it worked well.

    Thanks for the clarification. I am looking for a solution that doesn't require an electric reel or downrigger. I'll let you know how it works out in a couple of months!
