    I tried this a couple years ago after looking at a post the showed pictures of how to wahoo proof the rig, but did not like my results. I got frustrated and changed everything back to straight mono. This video showed me the error of my ways.

    I have made up 20 of these since seeing the video and think my results compare okay to those of Box. I was trying to be cheap originally and not use enough wire. Go ahead and use 6 inches of wire (ilander tube length), it makes a world of difference when bending it and pushing it through the crimps. Also "snugging everything up" before crimping makes the end results so much better.

    Thank you Box, the video presentation made all the difference.

    Now what was that final trick with the rubber band that was hidden from the camera by your hands?

    After he finished wrapping the rubberband around the line, he stuck the crimped loop through the rubberband to lock it on there.
