I'm sure there's going to be a lot of reports from today so I'll start it off....
Myself and Miss Squid joined our friend Stacy on his boat the Timberwolf today for a day of gag fishing. Beautiful day on the water today with light NE/E winds and cool temps. Made bait very easily and were greeted by a flock of comerants making their way south.
Pushed on off a few miles and found the current running directly into the sea (at almost the same speed) which made anchoring very difficult. Managed to get us on the ledge and were greeted with a good bite right off the bat. Lots of shorts and barely legals which all lived to see another day. They were very aggressive and feeding heavily however the size wasn't what we wanted. Did managed to find one nice fish here and it was time to head offshore.
Found a new area that was holding a lot of bait and more gags. Finished of our limit of 3 rather quickly with several more released.
I think SeaBiscuit and Slip Slidin have a patent on the cooler shot and the bow shot, so I'm going to patent the stern corner shot of the day's catch.
Back home with the boat washed, necessities purchased for tomorrow, showered and report written before 5:30.
Not too many pictures from today (too busy catching) but we're headed back tomorrow to do a little exploring and will try to take a few more.
