Tigress Outrigger question

Any of you boys tried these riggers? Apparently they just clamp on instead of having to mount all the usual hardware. Wanted to know if they held up or any other problems. I'm trying to save a little money, but probably as usual you get what you pay for. Thanks for any input.

I havent heard anything good about them Ive seen 2 or 3 pairs returned to us broken

Are the clamps the part that broke? There doesn't seem to be much metal to support the poles when they are extended. What about the other tigress telescoping outriggers, are they any better?

Forgetting about the clamp on mount for a second...telescoping outriggers suck major donkey ass. They are too flimsy for offshore trolling. If you have a medium to heavy clip setting these poles bend over like Siegfried & Roy on a date.

Instead of looking to save some money with these outriggers...you should be thinking not to waste money on these outriggers.

if you are up this way (va beach) i have some old 15 ft lees poles you are welcome too- i dont think i have the bases anymore- ill take a picture tomorrow and let you see them if you are interested
