    Thursday out of MHC

We left the dock ay 5:00. I had Capt. Bill Farrior Jr. of Jobsite fame onboard, as well as Chris Eveleth and Jason Hardee. We began the day by heading for the SE corner of the Rock. Seas looked like a lake but the swells were spaced just enough to beat you to death running greater than 23 knots.

We reached the Rock only to find 68 degree water. We headed NE a ways for another 20 miles until we reached 74 - 75 degree water. Trolled for hours in a SW direction with not a single bite. But then, the left short went off and we boated a nice 20 lb. gaffer. Nothing else the rest of the day. No love on my planer rod.

Ran home at 35 knots until we hit a 10 mile stretch of fog so dense that we could only see about 200 yards. Thanks radar!

I sure hope he was Capt. We worked that area hard but found no more. The others need to hurry and come inshore a bit. I am tired of riding 70+ miles to get to them. Of course, I will if I have to!
