Well ... it looks like I have lost my one and only fishing partner for Thursday so if anybody needs any company (and some help with fuel ) on Thursday out of Morehead or Wilmington ... drop me a pm. It is going to be too pretty to be on land.

Nauti, that sucks that you couldn't get out. It seems to be feast or famine either 10 want to go or you have to beg to try to get 1.

I know it drives me nuts if I have a day off and the weather to go and can't find a crew.

I agree ... I went alone quite a few times last year but I am kind of freaked out about doing that after reading a story recently about the guy that fell out of his boat.

Ill get back out there ... just not soon enough!

If you are remembering the story of the guy off Topsail that fell out of his boat and drowned last November- he was a good friend of mine. Really freaked me out and reinforces why I don't go out alone.

The guy I was reading about lived .... he was out on a Contender and slipped off the gunnel as he was putting a rod in the rocket launcher. The boat trolled away and he was left in the water. Amazingly they found him.

Sorry to hear that happened to your friend. All the more reason not to go alone.

Mike swam ashore. Talked to him about 15 minutes ago and he has 4 cobes aboard, seen 9.
