Honestly guys...
that was one of the best trips of my life. The way it all came together was something really special. John Garrety is the owner of this boat and is a super good freind of mine. He's one of the two guys on a certain website who actually listened when I posted my experience for no charge...I just wanted to fish while I was waiting for my license. We have been good freinds ever since. I've fished several tournaments with John and won one overall a couple years back. The Baton Rouge ladies with two whites and a blue in the first 45 minutes after lines in. Johnny's my buddy. He's never caught a unicorn...I mean thats the mindset. We run 80 miles back to my spot and skeptical doesn't really convey it. Five minutes after I had them set Johnny says hes hitting the bunk and the number two balloon snaps and the line goes slack. I turned around and asked him if he wanted to catch his first sword as I came tight. I'm understanding these cool fish a tiny bit more.
Thanks guys, all of you. It was cool as hell the way it all came togetther ![]() Mike Last edited by Captain Michael Buffington; 07-21-2009 at 01:47 AM. |
